Anwar is a boy from sector two. He is only sixteen years old. He is not supposed to be in the fighter’s camp at this age, but he somehow the commander liked him and took him in the camp. Here, in august 1971, the freedom-fighters are in a good position. The pak-army is getting pushed backwards by the fighters. They just have a single obstacle in front of them.
Anwar simply never thought being a fighter or someone like that. It was out of his syllabus. But, after the paki’s killed his parents and took his young sister with them, he couldn’t keep his anger. He wasn’t at home when the paki’s did those and hearing that, his made up his mind and went to the “mukti” camp quickly.
The problem the fighter’s had was quite tough. There was an American ship full of guns and foods for the Pakistani militaries. It was coming through the ocean And w come into the Mongla port. If they could just blast that ship out then they would be able to capture the Chittagong area. To do that, they planned a good one.
The fighters decided to put someone with a highly powerful bomb. He will swim to the port and will attach the bomb in the lower part of that ship. That was a very fine but highly risky. It’s because if the paki armies see the bomber they’d just kill him after torture. So, no one wanted to be the bomber.
The commander was having a huge thought about who might be the rightful one to do the bombing. Just then, Anwar put up his hands and told the commander that he wants to do the bombing. He also told the commander the reason he wants to do it is because he don’t have any responsibilities from his parents, because they’re all dead. So he must do it for the country. The commander liked the boy very much because of his bravery. So he accepted the request of the boy.
The following day, Anwar prepared himself for the final fight. He got himself mentally strong. It looked like Anwar will surely blast the ship. Anwar might be a bit confused about his enemies, but he’s determined to defeat them.
In the day of action, Anwar dressed himself with swimming costume. He then waited for night to come. Anwar got the signal after a long waiting. He started swimming having the bomb tied with him. Just when he thought the bomb was tied, a soldier spotted him. He then started to shoot at him. Anwar tried to fake him, but he was shot at a time. When he realized he’ll be dead soon, he thought to do something to blast the ship. It was a crucial time and he somehow blasted a grenade beside the bomb. This made the bomb also blast out.
It was the end for Anwar and his life, but he did blast the ship. He finally got his revenge on the paki soldiers. He was such a brave one to spend even his own life for his country.
